Wyrding Studios exists in a state of continuous evolution. It began in 2005, on a folding table in a corner of my Manhattan apartment, it spent a year traveling the country before settling in New Hampshire. I have worked out of basements, bedrooms, on cross-country trains and kitchen tables. I have been selling jewelry online since before Etsy existed. Some years I've run everything single-handedly, some years I've had marvelous assistants; these days I work with a baby slung on my back or sprawled across my lap.

I am, in no particular order, a metalworker, a mother, a fiber artist, a feminist, a wife, a mediocre housekeeper, an excellent cook, and an introvert. I live in a hundred-year-old house a few blocks from downtown Concord with a spouse of indeterminate gender, a ridiculously cute baby, three cats, two dogs, three spinning wheels, and an inordinate number of books and houseplants. I practice attachment parenting, I believe that the internet can work miracles, and I desperately want a llama.

Wyrding Studios has been my full-time job for almost six years, and I am grateful beyond words for the opportunities it has brought me. I have a job that lets me spend time with my family, gracefully accomodates being the stay-at-home parent, allows me to work around the challenges of living with chronic pain, and introduces me to marvelous people around the world.

(And then there's the fact that I get to play with bright shiny objects for a living. That's ridiculously awesome all by itself.)
